To start off the new year, the EngErotics team is letting go of what no longer serves us. For me, that means releasing patterns, thoughts, and beliefs that keep me overthinking – such as the self-inflicted expectations that create unnecessary pressure, and the ways I’ve measured my worth by what I accomplish rather than by who I am.
In 2026, I am letting go of the belief that I need to be constantly improving myself.
I’ve always been a Type A personality, with a touch of perfectionism and a stint of workaholism. For a long time, that worked for me – these tendencies helped me build the life I’ve always dreamed of, and I’m proud of that. But recently, I’ve noticed a pattern: the “finish line” I have set for myself keeps moving. Wins happened, milestones were reached, and instead of pausing to celebrate (or even acknowledge) them, I was already focused on my next achievement.
What I’m learning is that progress isn’t linear, and productivity doesn’t have to come at the expense of peace. When we stop holding ourselves to impossible standards, we create space for curiosity, compassion, and a sense of ease.
This year, my intention is balance – not less ambition, but more peace. Not abandoning structure, but loosening my grip on it. Because I’m realizing that life and sexual pleasure are similar – when we stop trying to control the experience, we finally get to feel it enough to enjoy it.
At EngErotics, this philosophy guides everything we create. Our goal isn’t to help you become a “better” version of yourself – we strive to meet you where you are, support you in being present, and help you feel more at home in your body, exactly as you are.
Here’s to making room for pleasure, presence, and peace.
